WWE Superstar Mark Henry was on Busted Open with Dave Lagreca and Bully Ray (fka Bubba Ray Dudley) yesterday and confirmed that he has signed an Ambassadors deal with the WWE.

You can check out a few transcribed highlights (credit Bill Pritchard for Wrestlezone.com) and two audio clips from his appearance:

You know what, I don’t think that they’ve painted themselves into a corner. What I think they’ve done, is they’ve put it in someone else’s hands. You know, I would be the last guy, being the guy that saw Daniel Bryan the first time and said ‘hey, you need to take a look at this guy. He’s six feet tall, two-hundred pounds.’ I lied my ass off. He’s great. He’s beyond great. He’s the Gale Sayers of wrestling; he should be in the [WWE] Hall Of Fame when he’s done, but he’s not done. He wants to keep going, but the medical situation will not allow it.

If I’m Vince, as much as I love Daniel, I’m not going to let him get in there and get paralyzed and get hurt on my watch. They’re going to have to show definitive evidence and proof that he can go in there and take the pounding and not get hurt and end up in a wheelchair. They’re not going to do it; I know Vince, and he would not have that on his conscience. Who wants to go to the grave thinking that I could have prevented that?

Mark Henry Disputes Reports Of Him Being Retired, Comments On Working To Reinvent Himself In WWE, Working With John Cena

I love the action of Roman Reigns because he’s a big guy, he’s a tough guy; you feel him when he gets hit. His face is very descriptive.

As far as somebody that when they come on and I really want to watch what’s going to happen next, Finn Balor. I’d like to see him take a more prominent role, but that’s up to him. Some people float along, but you’ve got to be ambitious. I think he needs a sit-down; me and [Bully Ray] may need to do a sit-down and tell him who he really is. That’s the thing about wrestling, and it’ll come out in a Sports Illustrated article pretty soon, I talk about believing in yourself to the point where it’s real. Our fans, it’s real to them. There’s no coming up and ‘is wrestling real?’ No. Wrestling is real. To him, he don’t know yet. He don’t know how real it could be.

Busted Open with Dave Lagreca and Bully Ray can be heard weekdays from 9a-Noon ET with a replay from Noon-3pm ET only on SiriusXM Rush Channel 93 or any time On Demand on the SiriusXM App.”
