THIRD MATCH: Cody (w/ Brandi Rhodes) vs. Kota Ibushi
Lots of chain wrestling at the top of the match, leaves the two men stalemated, until Cody Rhodes can lock in a modified figure four deathlock. Rhodes breaks the hold and Ibushi hits a Snap Hurricanrana. Cody rolls out of the ring and Ibushi hits both Brandi & Cody with a suicide dive. Kota, dismayed at knocking out Brandi, picks her up and gets slapped by Cody. Cody throws Ibushi in the ring as Brandi and her husband share a laugh, revealing that it was all a ruse.
Cody dominates Ibushi, focusing on the Golden Star’s problematic neck. Cody leaps out of the ring and Brandi steals Kevin Kelly’s chair, which Cody uses on Ibushi. Cody tries to hit Kota again, but Ibushi moves. Ibushi hits a baseball slide dropkick. Kota hits Cody with the Golden Triangle Moonsault. Kota and Cody break the count. Ibushi hits a springboard dropkick and then powers up. Ibushi unleashes a flurry of strikes on Cody, climaxing in a stiff kick. Ibushi attempts a suplex from the apron, but Brandi grabs Kota’s leg and Cody slams Kota’s throat into the rope. Cody and Ibushi trade strikes on the apron. Ibushi teases a Piledriver, but Cody reverses and hits a Cross Rhodes off the apron to the floor! Ibushi beats the count at 19.
Back in the ring Cody stays dominant and hits a top-rope springboard hurricanrana for 2.999. Cody attempts Cross Rhodes, but Ibushi counters with a Lawn Dart. After a striking duel, Ibushi hits a Golden Star Powerbomb for another near fall. Ibushi attempts his signature knee strike but gets reversed into a short-arm clothesline. Ibushi hits a huge roundhouse to the side of the head, attempts the knee, hits a straight-jacket german and then hits the knee strike. Ibushi hits a Phoenix Splash for the pin.
WINNER: Kota Ibushi.
FOURTH MATCH: IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Killer Elite Squad (Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr) vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (EVIL & SANADA)
KES start the match with a Killer Bomb on EVIL but SANADA breaks up the pin. Smith & Archer beat the hell out of SANADA and then Archer goes back to work on EVIL in the ring. After beating on The King of Darkness, Archer chokeslams EVIL onto the Young Lions at ringside.
In the ring, Davey Boy Smith Jr. keeps SANADA grounded. SANADA has been unable to use his size and strength to his advantage all match. Smith tags in Archer and the two hit a sideslam/splash combo that gets a two count.
Archer continues to work over SANADA in the corner with repeated lariats. Archer keeps EVIL at bay and even taunts some Young Lions, while Davey Boy Smith takes over the duty of beating up SANADA. SANADA wriggles out of the assault and gets the hot tag to EVIL. EVIL hits a running bulldog on Archer. Davey Boy comes to Lance’s rescue, but is fought off. EVIL hits multiple lariats on Archer but can’t knock him down. A third and final lariat fells the big Texan. EVIL climbs to the top rope but is stopped. Archer hits a Spanish Fly on EVIL!
Davey Boy comes in but SANADA attempts Cold Skull, but almost gets hit with a chokeslam. He ducks out but Archer is right there and this time there is nothing stopping the chokeslam. EVIL is knocked out of the ring and KES hit the Killer Bomb. Smith covers but it only gets 2.9999999.
KES attempt a second Killer Bomb but EVIL breaks it up and hits his eponymous STO on Archer. SANADA hits Legend Killer on Smith but it gets 2. SANADA hit a Moonsault for the pin.
WINNERS AND NEW CHAMPIONS: Los Ingobernables de Japon.
