Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal have both qualified for the second round of the new United States Championship tournament after winning their first round matches on tonight’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live.
The tournament was announced after Daniel Bryan declared Dolph Ziggler had ‘voluntarily relinquished‘ the United States Championship, and said the new tournament would kick off on tonight’s show.
Bobby Roode defeated Baron Corbin, and Jinder Mahal defeated Tye Dillinger in the two matches that took place tonight. No other participants or tournament details have been announced at this time.
