NJPW Power Struggle Results: New Champion Crowned, Former WWE Champion Challenges Omega & More

SECOND MATCH: Hirai Kawato, KUSHIDA, Juice Robinson, Jushin “Thunder” Liger & Tiger Mask vs. Suzuki-gun (Zack Sabre Jr., El Desperado, Taichi, Taka Michinoku & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)

Suzuki-gun storm team Liger before the match starts and dominate the beginning of the contest. After a fast but grounded opening, Suzuki-gun teams up on KUSHIDA. Juice Robinson attempts to overpower Sabre, but is met with numerous submission-based counters, until he can hit a Gutbuster to swing momentum in his team’s favor. All of the New Japan heroes hit big moves on Suzuki-gun, culminating in Kawato hitting a dive to the outside on Sabre. KUSHIDA locks in the Hoverboard lock for the submission victory.

WINNERS: Hirai Kawato, KUSHIDA, Juice Robinson, Jushin “Thunder” Liger & Tiger Mask

After the match, Suzuki-gun attack everyone.

THIRD MATCH: Bullet Club (Chase Owens, Yujiro Takahashi & Cody) vs. Togi Makabe & Tencozy (Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan)

Tenzan refuses to kiss Cody’s ring, so Cody makes Chase start the match. Chase plays possum, while Cody sneak attacks Tenzan. This was the pattern of the match opener, Chase would take the offense, while Cody would take advantage. Cody eventually tags in but Tenzan gets a hot tag to Makabe and Makabe runs through everyone. Makabe hits a trio of powerslam, a trio of clotheslines, and decimates the Bullet Club. Takahashi and Cody take back the match. Chase tags back in and mocks Kojima, only to be hit with a Western (Bread) Lariat for the pinfall.

WINNERS: Togi Makabe & Ten-Cozy.

FOURTH MATCH: Super Jr. Tag Team Tournament Final Match: Roppongi 3K (Sho & Yoh) vs. Super 69 (Ryusuke Taguchi & ACH.)

The match starts with ACH coaching Taguchi into hitting multiple running attacks on Roppongi 3K. The match soon devolves into a two-on-one affair, as ACH’s injured ribs leave him on the apron for the majority of the opening. Taguchi does his best to fight off the former Tempura Boyz, eventually hitting a leaping moonsault onto a camera man, as well as taking out Roppongi 3K with stereo topes.

Taguchi soon hits a hot tag to ACH but Roppongi 3K target ACH’s ribs and dominate him. ACH soon powers back by hitting some nearly lethal chops on Yoh’s already injured chest. ACH rips off his rib tape and hits Midnight Star but only gets a heartbreaking nearfall as Sho breaks up the pin at 2.999999. Roppongi 3K hit their double flapjack (named Roppongi 3K) on Taguchi and then hit it on ACH to end a classic tag team match and win the tournament.

WINNERS: Roppongi 3K

After the match The Young Bucks challenge Roppongi 3K.
