Trevor Lee defeated Sonjay Dutt in a Falls Count Anywhere match on Saturday night to become the new GFW X-Division Champion. The match was taped as a part of the company’s six day marathon of television tapings in Orlando, Florida and should air during the August 14th edition of Impact Wrestling.
Dutt won the X-Division title back in May while the promotion was touring his billed hometown of Mumbai, India. He was successful in defending the belt at last week’s Impact Wrestling “Destination X” live special against none other than Trevor Lee, despite interference from returning stars Caleb Konley and X-Division legend Petey Williams.
Those in attendance at Saturday night’s television tapings told us that Trevor was able to win the Falls Count Anywhere match outside of the arena, following even more interference from Konley.
