Figure Friday: Ringside Collectibles Exclusive WWE Elite Shane McMahon (Photos)

Welcome to Figure Friday! This week we take a look at the brand new RingsideCollectibles.com Exclusive WWE Elite Flashback Shane McMahon figure based on his epic street fight match with Kurt Angle at King of the Ring! This figure is only available on Ringside so get him while you can!

Looking at Shane in the packaging you can see he has the typical Elite style packaging decked out in his own fashion. There’s the Ringside sticker on the front, photos of Shane on the sides, the KOTR “glass” behind him (artwork) as well as an awesome back panel recreating the smashing glass he flew through with a bio about the match the figure is based on. I love the back of the packaging, it just looks really nice as Mattel did a fantastic job recreating the feel of the match from that epic german suplex through the glass.

Once you remove Shane from the packaging you can see it looks a lot like his Elite 50 figure although it has a new, younger Shane scan, which is nice as Mattel didn’t just repaint the “older” one. The scan looks pretty good. I feel it looks better from certain angles than others, but overall captures a young Shane.

His jersey is pretty cool, especially all the logos on it. Mattel did a great job with the detail, from the buttons to the stripes to all the text/logos on the front and back. That’s probably my favorite part about the Shane figures as he always had some pretty cool jerseys over the years. Hopefully we get an “X-Punk” one and his other black jerseys in the future, that would be cool. Shane does have the typical Elite articulation, his ab joint being slightly restricted by the thin rubber jersey but overall pretty articulated to pose him well. Not to mention the leg articulation and detail on his gym shoes.

Lastly, he comes with one of the shattering glass panels that Angle threw him through, which is an awesome accessory. The panel does shatter into several pieces and snaps back together quite easily. It does stay together well, too, which is great as some of the breakable Mattel accessories don’t always stay together. Granted, if you smack it it will fall apart but if you leave it displayed complete it looks great and stays together with no issue. I’d have loved to have several panels to create more of what the stage looked like but it’s still a great, unique piece.

Overall, I do recommend this figure. It’s nice to have a young Shane to go along with the older one. There has been no word on anymore Shane figures since San Diego Comic Con last week, so I do recommend picking him up on RingsideCollectibles.com while you can. Hopefully Mattel makes an Angle from this match to go with it!
