According to both PWInsider.com and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former Impact Wrestling and Ring of Honor stars Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis are in St. Louis this weekend, the site of tonight’s WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

Now, before we jump on board the speculation train, it’s worth pointing out that Maria is actually from Illinois, and if the couple were in town it would be a relatively short drive to St. Louis. It’s been speculated for months that the two were WWE-bound after their contracts with Impact Wrestling expired, but just this week reports began to circulate that both Mike and Maria were scheduled to begin with the company as soon as this week, and are expected to be a part of the Smackdown Live brand. Whether or not they’re backstage at Money in the Bank to meet with officials, or to actually be a part of tonight’s highly anticipated event, we’ll have to wait and find out.

Bennett began his rise through the wrestling ranks after winning the inaugural ROH Top Prospects tournament in 2011, the same class that produced stars like Michael Elgin, Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole. He is a former ROH Tag Team Champion and IWGP Tag Team Champion during his run with New Japan Pro Wrestling. While this would mark his official WWE debut, his wife Maria Kanellis-Bennett is looking to make her return. Maria started with WWE way back in 2004 as a part of the now-defunct Raw Divas Search, and had several high profile roles both in and out of the ring during her six years with the company.
