On the early days of Vince McMahon as a commentator:

BB: Back then Vince was a green horn. When you go back and watch those beginning matches on Superstars and Wrestling Challenge… do you remember those?

EB: I do want to say that when I go back and see video of myself when I first started I cringe. I look at myself and go, “God, you were such a goofy dude. You were such a dork. Look at that stupid hair, you look like a cartoon weather man.” I knock myself pretty hard when I go back and look at myself. I do have to say that when I go back and look at Vince he really looked goofy. He looked goofy as hell.

BB: We all looked goofy!

EB: Nah, but he looked goofier than most.

BB: Oh God.

EB: When you look back did you think he was a really good commentator back then? Or did you feel he was a little out of place?

BB: Back then the times were different. Back then we didn’t have anything really to compare it to. When he came out I thought he was a little stiff on the microphone. He’d wear that blue jacket that made him look… I dunno… a little out of place?

EB: Was it the padded shoulders?

BB: (Laughs) Were they padded? I never knew that! I just thought it was his shoulders.

EB: Yeah, ok.

BB: It looks goofy now but back then it looked really normal.

EB: Vince is highly intelligent and intense. Was he that intense when you were working with him?

BB: More intese on the microphone. He would be a little over the top like, “WELCOME TO WWF!!!!” Everything he would tell you not to do today he was doing back then. I was a young kid in the business and I was scared to death of him.
