Impact Wrestling Star Kongo Kong Reveals Advice From Rosey About Vince McMahon, Credits Jeff Jarrett for Creative Freedom, More

Impact Wrestling’s Kongo Kong recently joined The Roman Show to talk several topics, including Jeff Jarrett giving him freedom in the ring, the late WWE’s Rosey giving him advice working for Vince McMahon and more. Below are some interview highlights:

On what it’s like working for Jeff Jarrett in Impact Wrestling:

“He is one of the coolest guys or bosses I have worked for,” he said. “He has a knack for knowing what works. He lets us do our time.”

On advice he was once given by fellow big man, the late Rosey:

“I was told one time by Rosey, he said if you get a job with (WWE Chairman) Vince McMahon, he’ll ask you to stay on the ground and be a big man and fight like a big man and not do this flying crap,” he said. “I don’t know what his angle was when he told me that but I said ‘with all due respect I don’t work for Vince, but when I do ill do what he tells me too, but in the meant time I need to separate myself’.”

He also talked about the chemistry between him and Laurel Van Ness.

“I feel like we have this naturally odd something in a science fiction movie chemistry. It’s different. I love it,” he said. “Its something that pro wrestling is missing.”

Kongo also talks about his experience in India, how India views professional wrestling, Indian food, watching former Impact Wrestling employees on WWE and more.
