WWE has issued the following on John Cena’s TV return on July 4th:
John Cena to return to SmackDown LIVE on the Fourth of July
The Fourth of July, a time for family, friends, fireworks … and JOHN CENA!
The Cenation Leader will return to WWE when SmackDown LIVE airs on Independence Day. Cena has not been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 33, when he famously proposed to Nikki Bella.

Smackdown Top 10 Video and Social Media Score
According to Nielsen’s social media TV ratings, this week’s edition of WWE Smackdown ranked #3 among series & specials for the night. Smackdown had 58,000 interactions on Twitter with 13,000 unique authors, down from last week’s 71,000 interactions and 22,000 authors.
Smackdown also had 72,000 Facebook interactions with 48,000 unique authors last night, down from last week’s 84,000 interactions and 57,000 authors.
