Itami destroys Strong with multiple kicks to the chest. Itami locks in a rear chin lock. Itami knees Strong in the head over and over again. Itami pulls down his knee pad but instead of kneeing Strong again he jumps over Strong and kicks him in the face. Strong picks up Itami and drops him on the top rope. Strong levels Itami with a few stiff chops. Backbreaker by Strong for a two count. Strong locks Itami in a shoulder lock. Itami tries to fight out of it but Strong picks up Itami in a pump handle back breaker. Itami hits the ropes but runs right into a high dropkick by Strong. Strong locks in a body scissors. Itami unloads on Strong with kicks. Strong rolls to the outside. Itami tries to jump off the apron but Strong catches him in midair and tosses him back-first onto the ring apron.
After a short break, Strong has Itami in a body stretch. Itami manages to reverse it into a jaw breaker. A double clothesline leaves both men laying in the ring. Top rope clothesline by Itami for a near fall. Itami tries the KENTA combo but Strong ducks and hits an Angle slam for another long two count. Elbow combo by Strong. Strong hits the rope but Itami boots him in the face. Strong stumbles into the corner. Itami charges in for a running clothesline but Strong picks him up and hits another backbreaker for another near fall. Strong sets Itami on the top rope. Itami fights out of it. Itami hits a top rope falcon arrow for a two count. Itami and Strong exchange strike in the middle of the ring. Itami fires up but Strong almost decapitates him with a high knee. Itami somehow manages to kick out. Strong hits the ropes but Itami hits the Busaiku knee. Itami tries the GTS but Strong counters. Itami boots Strong in the face again. Strong falls into the corner. Delay dropkick by Itami. Strong tries to get to his feet. Strong slaps Itami. Itami hits the GTS for the win.
