Backstage, NXT General Manager William Regal tries to talk to Bobby Roode about his next opponent. Roode says he doesn’t want to cut Regal off but Roode is the face of NXT and if he is the “money”. If anything happens to him… well neither of them will want to take a pay cut… Regal cuts Roode off and says he thinks he understands what Roode is trying to say. Itami has to earn his shot. Next week, Itami will face Rodrick Strong. The winner will face Roode at Takeover Chicago for the NXT title. Roderick Strong walks in the office. Strong and Roode stare each other down as Roode walks away.
