Hulk Hogan recently appeared on “Good Morning America” to give an update on the $140.1 million judgment awarded to him in his 2012 case against Gawker, in which Hogan sued the website for publishing portions of a sex tape that was recorded without his knowledge.
Hogan revealed during the appearance, that because Gawker filed for bankruptcy in the case, he ended up settling with the now defunct website in bankruptcy court, and the site ended up paying Hogan $31 million, only 22% of his original judgment.
Hogan went on to say that it was never about the money for him, and that numerous celebrities have thanked him for suing Gawker for their actions. Hogan even admitted he has “nothing but love” for Gawker founder Nick Denton, and said he understood the position he was in at the time.
The show then shifted gears and Hogan was asked about a potential return to WWE, after being released from the company back in July 2015, and he had the following to say:
“If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. To make peace with the wrestling world, that would be a pretty cool ending. God I’d love to drop that leg on Vince McMahon one last time!”
