On Randy Orton winning the Rumble:

Randy Orton is the winner of your 2017 Royal Rumble. Not my favorite sign to see with him pointing to the WrestleMania sign and pyro going off, but there is a purpose. First off, the execution; Roman Reigns made it work. Yes, boys and girls; Roman Reigns at number 30, despite your whining and crying made this work. Look at it like this, those who cheer Orton, are the same demographic that cheers Roman Reigns. Those who cheer for Reigns can boo Orton for eliminating Reigns, those who hate him can cheer Orton for eliminating Reigns. Moral of the story; had Orton eliminated anybody else last, people wouldn’t have been so keen about it. That is the reality. That’s why Roman Reigns was put in the match so he can get Orton over. Yes, Orton is a heel. He has been constantly wavering, and there is this unspoken feeling that he is eventually going to snap out of his love affair with Bray Wyatt, who is likely be his WrestleMania opponent–we’ll get back to that. So, don’t tell me that the WWE crapped on their young stars, or missed on the opportunity for youth because Randy Orton winning the Rumble now is for the main purpose to let Bray Wyatt be the main man at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando and launch his title run. That’s the way it goes, that’s the way it is…if you don’t like it, stick your head out of the sand, pull the wax out of your ear and listen very clear.

On fans being impatient with Samoa Joe:

What is better for your dear Samoa Joe? In a match he was going to lose? He wasn’t going to win the Royal Rumble. What’s better, for him to be one of 30 and lose or to be the one guy to get the big debut focus on Monday Night Raw with Triple H and Seth Freaking Rollins. I ask you, what do you think portrays him in a more favorably, profitable, buzzworthy light? The question is actually rhetorical, I know I am right, but I want to throw it out there and put it in that context. That debut was so much better, and I’m not even…don’t get me wrong, I respect Samoa Joe, don’t try to get me wrong, but I’m not a huge Samoa Joe fan. I would have popped if I saw him at the Rumble, I would have popped if I saw him debut on Raw. I was at home, I Tweeted moments before Seth Rollins came out, I said, as Triple H was cutting the promo, it feels like this isn’t going to be a straight brawl with Triple H and Rollins, this feels like there is a kicker here, a swerve. I popped for the Joe appearance. I may not be his biggest fan, but objectively, that was so much better for him than the impatience, or lack of patience, for you guys to have for Joe to enter the Royal Rumble.
