Miz comes down to the ring with Maryse. Styles, consider his spotlight stolen. Miz says the Elimination Chamber is a good story for his 2017. When he gets his rematch with Dean Ambrose, he will win back his Intercontinental Title. Then he’ll either win the Royal Rumble Match or win the title in the Elimination Chamber. This will bring him back to where he belongs, the main event of WrestleMania. He’ll leave WrestleMania as a double champion. Styles wants to know if Miz is delusional. He comes out and hides behind his wife. Styles tells Miz to avoid him and the Elimination Chamber if he wants to have his movie career.
Styles should be careful with his Beat Up John Cena narrative. While Styles was growing his soccer mom hair in Japan, Miz was beating John Cena before it became cool. Miz has done more to build the Intercontinental Title than anyone. When people talk about Smackdown, they’re not talking about AJ Styles, they are talking about the most must see champion. John Cena decides to stir things up by saying that Miz thinks he’s better than AJ Styles. The last time they were in Memphis, Styles broke Miz’s teeth. Styles pokes fun at Miz and Maryse relationship. Miz and Styles engage in a stare off, but are immediately separated by Shane McMahon. Shane announces that Styles will take on Miz next.
