NINJA SUPERSTARS SLAM INTO WALMART

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and WWE Unite for Ultimate Action Figure Collection from Playmates Toys

El Segundo, CA (November 11, 2016) – Ninja Superstars, a unique line of co-branded action figures from Playmates Toys featuring Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles dressed as iconic WWE Superstars, is now available exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide. The figures generated much excitement after being unveiled by WWE Hall of Famer Sting during a Nickelodeon panel at New York Comic Con in October.

The one-of-a-kind collaboration between Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and WWE has united two of the most popular brands in entertainment, bringing the Turtles from the sewer to the ring for the first time. The action figures were developed by Playmates Toys, the longtime master toy licensee for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and are available in the following assortment:

  • Leonardo as WWE Superstar John Cena
  • Raphael as WWE Hall of Famer Sting
  • Donatello as WWE Superstar Undertaker
  • Michelangelo as WWE Hall of Famer “Macho Man” Randy Savage

Each 6” tall figure is highly detailed to capture the signature look of the WWE Superstar. They are also fully articulated and come with full ring gear and all the necessary accessories to perform knockout ninja moves in the ring.

“The initial response to Ninja Superstars has been incredible and we’re thrilled that the figures are now available for fans,” said Karl Aaronian, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Playmates Toys. “WWE and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans will appreciate the high level of detail that was put behind the development of the collection in order to create the unique Turtle figures.”

“Following its unveil at New York Comic Con last month, the enthusiasm from TMNT and WWE fans for Ninja Superstars has been off the charts,” said Jon Roman, Senior Vice President, Toys, Nickelodeon. “Ninja Superstars is one of our most exciting collaborations to date and, with the holiday season just around the corner, we can’t wait for fans to get their hands on them.”

“We are thrilled that the Ninja Superstar action figures are now available exclusively in Walmart just in time for the holiday season,” said Casey Collins, WWE Executive Vice President, Consumer Products. “Fans of both WWE and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are sure to enjoy this one-of-a-kind collaboration between two of the most iconic brands in entertainment.”
