WWE

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting Io Sharai might be reconsidering leaving Stardom Japan for WWE. It was reported by the Observer last week that Sharai was definitely leaving Stardom, but reportedly received a new offer and is thinking there’s more guaranteed in staying in Japan opposed to leaving to uncertainty in WWE.

The situation with Kairi Hojo was said to be the same, where she was reconsidering after a new offer, although she was reportedly back-and-forth on leaving Stardom. Both reportedly feel a sense of loyalty in Japan, and realize if both leave, which was said to be a roster move that would devastate Stardom, there would be no one to replace them. Additionally, it was said that Shirai and Asuka have had past issues and Asuka is in a steady spot in NXT, and it would limit Sharai’s push since WWE wouldn’t push both as dominant stars on the same roster.

Heyman & JBL

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting WWE is planning on using Paul Heyman and John Bradshaw Layfield more on WWE Network for various programming ideas, including a ‘Pardon The Interruption’ style show and content that would see many ECW talents such as Taz, The Dudley Boyz and Tommy Dreamer come back for a spotlight / retrospective on that era of wrestling. In regards to the PTI show, it was noted that ESPN’s Peter Rosenberg (Cheap Heat) was under consideration for a spot on the show.
