Update On Reported WWE Women’s Tournament, Former TNA Knockout Teases Tourney Entry, Where Did The ‘Brutus Beefcake’ Name Come From?

WWE Women’s Tournament

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting the planned women’s tournament in WWE will either tape in January or March.

It’s being said that some non-contracted talents have been told about a January start date, while others have been told March. Despite this, some women have been contacted and have been told they are going to be in the tournament, and they should leave certain dates to be available.

Details about the unconfirmed tournament are lacking right now, so it’s unclear if the tapings would take place over several months like the Cruiserweight Classic, or how it would be set up, but talents with oversea tour dates during the proposed tapings would have to get those rearranged to participate in the tapings.
