Dolph Ziggler & The Miz In-Ring Promo:
Ziggler did it. Moments leading up to No Mercy got the best of Ziggler. He put his career on the line for one more shot at the Intercontinental Title. Ziggler didn’t know if he would be here tonight or if that was going to be the last time he was going to see the fans, get taped up, or formulate a plan for his match, and or spray tan Zack Ryder’s back. For the first time in twelve years, Ziggler doubted himself and thought he made a mistake. He had people telling him he didn’t have to do this. Ziggler knew the moment he walked down that ramp and set foot in this ring, he knew this is where he belonged. This is his home and no matter what, at No Mercy, hell was going to freeze over, but he would walk out as Intercontinental Champion. The Miz comes down to the ring with Maryse.
Miz and Maryse engage in a moment of silence for the Intercontinental Championship. Miz wants to know if everyone is happy? A title was not lost, it was the death of a title. Miz was champion for 188 days. He brought the prestige back, not Ziggler and not Daniel Bryan. He made this the most prestigious title on SmackDown Live. Ziggler’s victory is a funeral for the Intercontinental Title’s legacy. It’s dragged down by the mediocrity of Ziggler. If Ziggler thinks this is the end, he’s delusional. This is act two. This is where the hero is in peril and he has to overcome the odds. Ziggler is a layover.
This is the Empire Strikes Back. The ending will be that Miz gets the gold and the girl, and he already has the girl. Ziggler is glad that Miz is out here right now. Ziggler shows us a picture of Miz crying after their No Mercy match. Ziggler wants to go back to see if Miz was crying. Is Mis about to cry now? Miz asks Ziggler if he thinks this is funny? Ziggler and Daniel Bryan got a good laugh out of that. That face was all of the things he did and the sacrifices he made being taken away. The WWE Universe wouldn’t know about sacrifice. If Miz did everything to keep that title, picture what he would do to get it back. Miz is not done with Ziggler and neither is The Spirit Squad. Ziggler will take on The Spirit Squad in an Handicap Match.
