Cruiserweight Classic Becoming Weekly WWE Network Show? Impact Wrestling Returns to Orlando Tonight Following Hurricane Matthew

CWC Becoming a Weekly Series?

One idea being discussed by WWE, according to a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, although we have heard similar things as well, is to create a weekly WWE Network series out of the Cruiserweight Classic. This would not be the traditional tournament format that we have seen previously, but more like an episode NXT style show, featuring Cruiserweight talent from all over the world, including those already signed by WWE.

What this would mean for the Cruiserweight division on Monday Night Raw, or who would end up working on which show, is at this point uncertain. Granted, the entire idea is still in the discussion phase and nothing has been revealed officially, so there’s always plenty of room for plans to change.

A weekly Cruiserweight Classic series was listed in a recent survey that went out asking fans about a new four-level tiered payment plan for the WWE Network.
