According to live reports coming from tonight’s TNA Impact Wrestling TV tapings at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, Eddie Edwards defeated Bobby Lashley to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
The match was set up after Billy Corgan announced Lashley would defend his championship on the show, but he would get to pick his opponent. Lashley was able to choose from EC3, Moose and Edwards, choosing Edwards because he was the ‘easiest challenge’.
Edwards ended up surprising Lashley and beat him in the title match, and later celebrated his win surrounded by a number of TNA stars in the ring.
