Awesome Kong & Former Knockouts Champion Make Surprise Returns at TNA Bound For Glory

TNA inducted five-time Knockouts Champion Gail Kim into their Hall of Fame tonight at TNA Bound For Glory, live on pay-per-view, and the company brought a few special guests back to celebrate the occasion.

Long-time ring announcer Christy Hemme said a few words about Kim as the pioneer of the Knockouts Division, before introducing former Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell, who left the company back in January of this year. Terrell and Kim had a series of great matches in 2013 including a Last Woman Standing match at Slammiverary.

Finally, two-time champion Awesome Kong made a surprise return to celebrate her greatest rival and friend. Kong and Kim defined the Knockouts division and were a part of the match at Bound For Glory 2007 to crown the first ever champion, and their matches over the years put women’s wrestling in the U.S. back on the  map in an era where WWE was incredibly inconsistent with the female talents they used on television.
