WrestleCircus Finalizes Changes to Debut Show & Sets Future Expansion Plans; EC3, Cabana Added To Debut Show, More

WrestleCircus issued the following announcement regarding lineup changes for their debut event in Austin, Texas next month:

NJPW scheduling changes force WrestleCircus to shuffle out key members of it’s debut roster. Ethan Carter, Colt Cabana, Willie Mack and Laredo Kid all added to the show.

With less than one month before their highly anticipated debut, Wrestle Circus (aka WrestleCircus) was forced to make some lineup changes due to New Japan Pro Wrestling rearranging their schedule. Talents such as Michael ElginTama Tonga, and Rocky Romero have all been replaced on the card as they have contractual obligations to NJPW.

Filling in on the main event for Elgin and Tonga will be former two-time TNA World Heavyweight ChampionEthan Carter III and the internet/independent wrestling darling, Colt Cabana. The main event match, to crown the first ever WrestleCircus Ringmaster, will see EC3 vs. Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. Colt Cabana vs. Raymond Rowe in an elimination match. The final man standing will walk out of “The Opening Act” with WrestleCircus’ most prestigious title belt.

Meanwhile, Bullet Club member “Hangman” Adam Page has been searching for an opponent ever since Chuck Taylor was pulled from the show to fulfill his contractual duties with EVOLVE. Rocky Romero was slated to step in to replace Chuck Taylor, but with Romero now being called to NJPW, WrestleCircus ownership feels they have found the perfect replacement in Lucha Underground star, Willie Mack (aka The Mack). One has to wonder what’s going through the mind of Adam Page as Willie Mack is the third opponent he has had to prepare for since the debut show was originally announced.

To further solidify the debut show, WrestleCircus ownership added one more match to the card, bringing the show up to a staggering 10 matches. There is no question the fans will get their money’s worth as Laredo Kid and Oraculo have been added to the card in what will be a lucha libre rules match.

Finally, with a lot of speculation about WrestleCircus holding shows in other major cities across Texas, the ownership team is happy to announce that they will be performing in both Austin and Dallas in November. Austinites have nothing to fear as WrestleCircus will continue to hold at least one show per month in the state’s capital.

To summarize the key news coming out of WrestleCircus today, 1) Ethan Carter III has replaced Michael Elgin 2) The main event will be an elimination match 3) Willie Mack replaces Rocky Romero against Bullet Club member Adam Page 4) Laredo Kid and Oraculo have been added in a new lucha rules match and 5) WrestleCircus will expand to two shows per month, starting in November with shows in Austin and Dallas.

Exciting times ahead for the hottest new independent wrestling promotion in America.
