The Shield to Reunite on WWE PPV?
According to The Wrestling Observer, with Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose now all working as babyfaces, WWE has been discussing the idea of a Shield reunion spot taking place at an upcoming dual-brand PPV like maybe Survivor Series or The Royal Rumble.
News on Future NXT Takeover Events
The Wrestling Observer is also reporting that WWE NXT may be holding a Takeover live special before the end of this year at The Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City, as well as a show in Boston. As noted, the next announced NXT Takeover event will be taking place over Survivor Series weekend this year in Toronto.
Smackdown Live Rating Rises
The final rating for this week’s post-Backlash edition of WWE Smackdown Live was a 1.86, up from last week’s 1.76 rating for Labor Day. As noted, this week’s episode averaged 2.658 million viewers, up from last week’s 2.454 million viewership average.
