In Ring Segment: Samoa Joe
Joe says sometimes when you lose you are forced to take a moment to reflect. He understands when he has gone too far and when he has to admit his mistakes. The entire time he held the NXT title he was a disgrace. For over a year he ran rough shot over the NXT locker room. He wanted to be the standard by which NXT is held by. As a man, he asks that Shinsuke Nakamura comes to the ring so he can say something to his face. He isn’t leaving the ring until Nakamura does.
Nakamura obliges and makes his way to the ring. Joe says he asked Nakamura to come out here for one reason. He wanted to tell Nakamura that he meant everything he said before their match at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. Joe meant it when he said Nakamura was an undeserving contender. As Joe stands here right now he understands that not only is Nakamura a deserving challenger and a worthy champion. Joe is going to give Nakamura the respect he never got- Nakamura isn’t gonna hear about the match from William Regal, Joe wants his rematch as soon as he is cleared to wrestle. Nakamura tells Joe that he is on.
Joe starts to leave the ring, but comes back and offers Nakamura a hand to shake. Nakamura is reluctant, but eventually shakes his hand.
