Days after becoming the first SmackDown Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch discusses overcoming self-doubt early in her career, the responsibility she now carries and her opponent at WWE No Mercy, Alexa Bliss. Below are some highlights.

On whether or not the feeling of winning the title has set in yet, Lynch says she is over the moon about the win. She added that she slept with the title on Sunday night and woke up Monday morning with a big “W” on her face.

On whether or not she thought this moment would ever happen, Becky admitted there were times when she doubted herself, and thought one day she might have to come to terms with the fact that it might never happen for her, but here she stands the first ever Smackdown Women’s Champion.

Cole then brought up the responsibility Lynch now has as Champion representing the company, and she told the story of meeting an 8 year old boy at a children’s hospital and how they two of them interacted over the new Women’s Title.

On facing Alexa Bliss at WWE No Mercy, Lynch says she is small but fierce. Lynch added Bliss is not one to be underestimated, but Lynch has worked her entire life for what she has, and she will bring more fight to Alexa Bliss than she could ever imagine.
