Cody Rhodes Updates
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter Cody Rhodes will be headed to New Japan Pro Wrestling to work at least one date with Katsuyori Shibata.
Also, in regards to the independent wrestling scene Cody has apparently received several offers to work with current TNA wrestler Aron Rex (formerly WWE’s Damien Sandow). At this time he has not accepted those offers because he is more focused on checking names off his infamous “list” that he posted a few months ago. Meltzer spoke with Cody at BOLA this past weekend and Cody told him that his major goal at the moment is to make it as an actor on TV. He is hoping his upcoming Arrow appearance will turn in to a recurring role.
Lastly, apparently Cody is not allowed to use the Rhodes last name on TNA or ROH TV. This could change because he remains in talks with WWE who is also claiming ownership and merchandising rights to the Dusty Rhodes name. Cody is also working on a book using the Dusty Rhodes name.
