Owens tries to Death Valley drives Zayn on the apron, but Zayn wiggles off Owens’ shoulders. Owens hits a rope assist stunner on Zayn. Owens obliterates Zayn in the corner with a clothesline. Owens manages to hit a cannonball after that. Owens calls for the Pop Up Powerbomb, but Zayn reverses it and hits a half nelson suplex for a near fall. Zayn sets up a top rope arm drag, but Owens moves out of the way and Zayn lands awkwardly on his previously injured ankle. Zayn rolls to the outside. Owens follows and attempts to powerbomb Zayn on the apron. Zayn reverses it and half nelson suplexes Owens on the outside of the ring! Zayn rolls Owens back in the ring. Zayn calls for the Helluva kick, but he can’t run across the ring. Owens superkicks him, then powerbombs him for the victory.

After the match, Roman Reigns walks to the ring. Jericho is not far behind him. As Reigns is surrounded, Foley comes out to the stage and says next week Reigns will go one-on-one with Owens. If Reigns wins, the match at Clash of Champions will be a triple threat match. Owens is livid. Jericho tries to attack Reigns. But he eats a Spear for his trouble.
