NXT Championship Match: Samoa Joe (C) vs Shinsuke Nakamura
Joe and Nakamura lock up. Joe forces Nakamura into the ropes. The referee breaks them up. Test of strength into a lock up. Joe goes for a kick, but Nakamura checks it Nakamura goes for a high kick, but Joe blocks it with his forearm. Joe slaps Nakamura in the face. Nakamura shoots in and takes down Joe. Joe transitions, but Nakamura has full guard. Joe backs off. Joe locks in a top wrist lock. Nakamura flips out of the hold and manages to take Joe over with a headlock take over. Joe rolls out of it. Joe grabs a side headlock. Nakamura tries to force Joe into the ropes to escape, but Joe holds on. Nakamura lands a few knees to Joe. Joe collapses in the corner. Good vibrations by Nakamura. Joe rolls to the outside.
Joe drags Nakamura to the outside. Joe and Nakamura trade strikes. Joe is almost counted out. Joe whips Nakamura into the corner. Joe hits his patented back elbow into the falling enzguri. Nakamura rolls to the outside. Joe sticks his head between the ropes. Nakamura kicks Joe in the head. Nakamura tries to land a jumping knee to the back of Joe’s neck, but Joe moves out of the way. Joe takes Nakamura out with a diving elbow through the ropes. Joe gets a two count. Joe kicks Nakamura in the back, then in the chest, then Joe hits a Muta elbow for another near fall. Joe continues to kick Nakamura in the chest before putting him in prawn hold.
