WWE Summerslam
During a backstage segment on WWE RAW tonight, Mick Foley announced comedian and former Daily Show host Jon Stewart will be their guest at WWE Summerslam this Sunday.
Fans may remember Stewart hosted last year’s Summerslam, and infamously hit John Cena with a chair at the conclusion of his championship match against Seth Rollins.
WWE.com posted the following, confirming the news:
SummerSlam is getting another moment of Zen: Raw General Manager Mick Foley confirmed that Jon Stewart, who hosted last year’s SummerSlam and played a deciding role in one of its matches, would return to The Biggest Event of the Summer for the upcoming 2016 edition.
The exact role of the former “Daily Show” host has yet to be confirmed, but the WWE Universe won’t have to speculate for very long: SummerSlam will emanate live from Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center this Sunday at 7 ET/5 PT, only on the award-winning WWE Network.
