WWE Smackdown Live
According to wrestling statistician Darren Bongiovanni, tonight’s WWE Smackdown Live not only marked Carmella’s WWE Smackdown debut, but it was her first match since losing to Alexa Bliss on the June 29th episode of NXT on WWE Network.
Speaking of Bliss, who also made her Smackdown in-ring debut, this was her first match since losing to Bayley on the July 6th episode of NXT.
Additionally, Rhyno had his first match on Smackdown since losing to John Cena back on March 18, 2004, and his first main roster match since he was part of ‘Team Extreme’ in a losing effort to the Wyatt Family in an Extreme Rules match on the December 14, 2015 episode of RAW. Rhyno’s opponent, Heath Slater, had his first Smackdown match since losing to AJ Styles back on March 31st of this year.
