On if Darren Young can make himself great again by defeating The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship:
EF: This is one that feels like so many IC builds. I am really scratching my head with how many matches Miz has won as champion. In terms of making him a deserving champion. We talked about how Darren hasn’t had any conclusive wins. He’s ended up being the last man standing or winning by default. I think he’s had one win recently. In this one, I don’t know, I think this is one that I am not all that excited about because I feel like the build hasn’t made either of them look that strong. It doesn’t look like Darren is this unstoppable force. A freight train heading for the championship. Miz doesn’t look like he’s untouchable; although I really like his act with Maryse. I think the two of them really work well. I hope they give them time. At this point I think the smart money would be on keeping the belt on Miz. Having him go over in some underhanded way and continue to build him as the Teflon IC champion. They have to give him some more definitive wins even if they are underhanded.
On Zack Ryder challenging Rusev for the US Championship:
EF: I think the money is on Rusev. With this one they need to build some more strong heels. With Rusev they did some damage to him over the past year. Just after the whole kerfuffle with Lana tweeting about their engagement and all of the fallout from that. He seems to be back on track and rebuilding. I think he needs to keep that belt. They’ve already shown that they’re only behind Zack to a certain extent. I don’t think they are going to put it on him. Again, I’m coming from a place of logic and that seems to be something that they don’t seem to do. So, who knows what they are going to do? What I would do is keep the belt on Rusev and keep him as a heel.
