This final video from the weekend of CSR is all about WWE Superstars who could get pushed and thrive because of the draft. Here’s some highlights of the conversation:
Josh Isenberg:
There’s so many guys I want to thrive but I don’t think they will. Tyler Breeze who was so good in NXT. Apollo Crews who is an athletic freak. One guy I do think who could is Austin Aries on SmackDown. I think Aries in NXT has done what he needs to do. Doesn’t need to be a champion there because he’s been champion everywhere else. Obviously WWE doesn’t view TNA as competition or really acknowledge it. Aries drafted outside of NXT creates dream matches with a lot guys who are really great who could be on the SmackDown brand. Athletic smaller guys who might not be world champion material but drive the show week to week. He has potential to be real good on SmackDown because he knows how to be a main event guy without actually becoming one.
Justin LaBar:
SmackDown is going live, it’s going to get some big talent exclusive to the grand. It’s going to have a lot of attention. But while we do all this, we can’t let our flagship of RAW fall down the crapper, you have three hours. So you know what we’re going to do, is we’re going to make RAW great again with Darren Young and Mr. Bob Backlund. Let me write a reality check here, Darren Young is athletic, he can work, he’s black and he’s openly gay. There are a lot of things about him that are very attractive for WWE being in the public eye that they are in having him be successful, him having fun and him getting to entertain. Him and the corky pairing with Bob Backlund that would be great for RAW. With three hours, there is time for shenanigans like that.
Neither agrees with the other’s pick and debate ensues. To see the full conversation, watch the video below:
