Backstage News on Two Former Names WWE Is Interested in Re-Signing for the Brand Split, Two Top Lucha Libre Names Also Discussed

According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE is interested in bringing former stars Curt Hawkins and Jimmy Wang Yang back to the company.

As noted, Jimmy Wang Yang posted photos of himself backstage at Raw this week, and Tweeted a photo of himself in front of Vince McMahon’s office, teasing a return to the company.

With WWE wanting to bring back talent to bolster the rosters for the upcoming brand split, it appears WWE is interested in bringing back veteran talents who can still work, as a way to put over new, younger talent.

In related news, WWE is also interested in signing Lucha Libre stars Volador Jr. and Rush. Rush worked a WWE tryout last year when the company signed La Sombra, now known in NXT as Andrade “Cien” Almas.
