WWE Battleground

During their appearance on Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel tonight on RAW, Sami Zayn challenged Kevin Owens to a match that would take place at WWE Battleground next month.

Jericho introduced both guests and tries to goad them into a fight, but Zayn says this feud needs to end. He tells Owens their careers aren’t going anywhere unless this stops, and he wants to end it at WWE Battleground. Zayn says they might be on different shows after the draft, but he wants to fight one more time, and tells Owens to admit he resents him. Owens shares his side of the story, then Jericho says he’s better than both of them and tells them to drink in the gift of Jericho, but they both superkick him and leave.

In an interesting bit of trivia, the two opponents of Enzo Amore and Big Cass tonight are named after two baseball prospects in the Philadelphia Phillies organization.

Philly.com’s Matt Breen noted Mitch Walding and Carlos Tocci were the names of the opponents, and also the names of players on the Phils’ Class A affiliate Clearwater Threshers, which is a short distance from Tampa, tonight’s RAW host.
