Cruiserweight Classic News: Injury Updates From Last Night, Why Wrestler Was Added, Triple H Tweets About Launching “A Brand”, More

Last night at the Cruiserweight Classic tapings we reported that there may have been an injury involving the wrestler Mustafa Ali.

In an update on that story we are told that Ali suffered a stinger, was evaluated by the doctors and is now fine. Ali reportedly was allowed in to the tournament because Brazilian wrestler Zumbi was unable to meet the 205 lb weight limit that WWE had set.

Also at last night’s tapings it appears that Anthony Bennett may also have been injured. At the finish of his match with Tony Nese the referee stopped Nese from doing a move and then checked Bennett’s knee. After being given the all clear Nese finished the sequence. After trainers checked on Bennett he was helped to the back.
