AJ Styles Speaks Out On Leaving TNA Wrestling, More WWE Money in the Bank PPV Statistics, News on the Upcoming WWE Roster Draft

In today’s WrestleTalk News, a date for the WWE Draft revealed, stats from Sunday’s Money in the Bank show and AJ Styles speaks out on leaving TNA…on the WWE Network!

WWE Draft Date Revealed

First, we’ve finally been given a confirmed date for the WWE Draft.

After weeks of speculation – with many saying it’ll be the 11th July Raw – it has now been confirmed that the WWE Draft will be taking place on the first live episode of Smackdown on the 19th July.

In a press release, WWE also confirmed that each brand will be competing with “television ratings, live events and pay-per-views.” This all but confirms the reports from last week that WWE are looking to put on two pay-per-view shows a month, one for each brand.

So, we’ve now got a date and just four weeks to wait. Let the speculation begin. Big Johnny for Smackdown GM!

Money in the Bank Cash-In Stats

Next up, it’s stats time.

At Money in the Bank, Dean Ambrose won the title shot ladder match, and then went onto cash in that title shot just two matches later. But was it the fastest Money in the Bank cash in ever?

No. Ambrose’s cash-in took place 57 minutes after winning the contract, but it’s speed demon Kane who still holds the record. Back in 2010, the Big Red Machine took just 49 minutes to cash in and win the World title from Rey Mysterio.

But what about Seth Rollins’ WWE title reign that same night – from when he beat Roman Reigns, to when he lost to Dean Ambrose minutes later? Surely that’s a record for the shortest title holding ever?!

No again, unfortunately. It’s the second shortest, with his two minute title reign just losing out to Andre the Giant’s win at The Main Event in February 1988, where he quickly tried to sell it to the Million Dollar Man just 1 minute, 48 seconds later.
