Kurt Angle, Hardy, Goldberg and More Set For WWE Brand Split Returns?, Latest on Jerry Lawler’s WWE Suspension, Call Ric Flair

In today’s WrestleTalk News, a load of ex-WWE stars – including Kurt Angle, Goldberg and Jeff Hardy – reportedly contacted about making their WWE brand split returns, Jerry Lawler suspended by WWE and Ric Flair’s latest business venture…

Jerry Lawler Suspended By WWE

Our top story today is about all the huge ex-WWE stars who have been asked to return for the upcoming WWE brand split, but first Jerry Lawler has been suspended by the WWE.

Late last week, WWE commentator Jerry Lawler and his fiancee Lauryn McBride were arrested following a domestic dispute. As for what exactly happened, there are two sides to the story.

Lawler reportedly claims that McBride had lied to him about where she’d been, then scratched his face, threw a candle at him and then kicked him in the groin. He also claimed she was drunk and was threatening to kill herself.

McBride, however, claims that Lawler held her against the kitchen counter, hit her in the head and then put an unloaded gun on the table and told her to kill herself. Both are claiming the other brought the weapon into the situation, and police arrested them both when they were unable to determine who had started the problem.

This led to WWE suspending Lawler, citing “zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, as per our policy”.

Wooo You Gonna Call?

In a complete change of tone – that’s a pun for this story – have you ever been bored standing in a queue, or maybe just waiting for the god damned WWE Network to load on my rubbish Internet connection? Well now you can fill that time with a quick – but expensive – chat with WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

The Nature Boy is now offering personal five minute phone calls for just $495. That extrapolates out as $5,940 an hour.

The press release advertising the calls says if the “client engages in inappropriate language,” Flair has the right to terminate the session. So that probably means you’ve got to say ‘championships’ rather than ‘belts’ and ‘local medical facilities’ rather than ‘hospitals’.
