As noted, Chinese wrestler Bin Wang has signed a WWE developmental contract following WWE’s China tryouts this week in Shanghai. The news was announced during a press event which saw John Cena fly in especially. Bin Wang, who has wrestled with the Inoki Genome Federation, was a favorite to pick up the contract and the news was widely expected amongst the Chinese pro wrestling community. Wang, who hails from Anhui Province, stands at 190 cm tall; the minimum requirement for the tryouts which have been taking place all this week. The other big news to come out of the media event was that WWE will be holding a WWE Live event in Shanghai on September 10th, later this year. From the looks of it, all the heavy hitters will be there and WWE’s China expansion may just be about to hit top gear.
