Original Plans For Anonymous RAW GM Revealed, The Latest on Emma’s Injury Status, TNA Possibly Moving to Another Network Again?

In today’s WrestleTalk News, Emma injured, original plans for the anonymous Raw General Manager revealed and TNA possibly moving network again.

Emma Injured

Our top story today is TNA possibly moving TV network again. But first, WWE have revealed that Emma suffered a back injury at a live event this past weekend and will require surgery.

According to WWE’s ringside physician Dr. Craig Robinson, Emma suffered a ruptured disc in her back on Sunday and after undergoing an MRI, it was determined that she will need surgery.

Currently there’s no estimate on how long she could be out of action, but it really couldn’t have come at a worse time for the Australian superstar, as she had just reformed her team with Dana Brooke on Raw and was being pushed for the first time in months.

Original Plans For Anonymous RAW GM Revealed

May I have your attention, please? I have received an email from a writer behind the awful Anonymous Raw General Manager angle.

Former WWE writer Kevin Eck has revealed one of the original ideas behind the Anonymous Raw GM storyline from 2011.

Eck explained that at the time he was applying for a job with WWE, he was asked to submit a storyline idea for the Anonymous GM being revealed.

Eck’s idea was for it to be revealed as WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash, who at the time was under contract to TNA. This would be used as the explanation for him remaining anonymous for so long.

The angle, however, was abruptly dropped before Eck properly signed with the company and the idea was never made a reality.

Fast forward to 2012 and the Anonymous GM was brought back as a special one night only character. Eck explained that the writers pitched Hornswoggle to be revealed as the person behind the laptop as a joke…and Vince McMahon actually liked it and OK’d the idea.

According to Eck, the full idea was for Hornswoggle to reveal his true identity as Lou Manfredini, a W.C. Fields type character who would be looking to get revenge on the WWE roster for laughing at him because of his size.

Unfortunately this never happened because WWE producers that Hornswoggle couldn’t pull the character off in rehearsals.
