AJ Styles & Alberto Del Rio Backstage Segment:
JoJo notes that Styles has became the number one contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on this past weeks Raw after his great match with Sami Zayn. JoJo wants to know if this will be the type of performance we’ll see from Styles at WWE Payback? Styles says that he’s been around the whole world and he’s had to fight his way to the top. Don’t get him wrong, he’s never been in a ring with a guy like Roman Reigns, but at the same time Reigns has never been in a ring with a guy like Styles. The difference between the two is when this Georgia Bulldog has a opportunity he’s take advantage of it.
Del Rio comes in and asks Styles if he thinks he can compete against the likes of Alberto Del Rio? Everywhere Del Rio goes he hears people chanting “AJ Styles”. Del Rio says that he doesn’t care where Styles comes from. Del Rio wants to challenge Styles to a match and see if there’s any validity to the hype Styles is getting. When Del Rio stands afront of Styles he knows that he doesn’t belong here. Del Rio says that Styles is all hype. Styles says that he doesn’t belong here, but he lets his work in the ring speak for itself. Del Rio tells Styles to be careful because he’s not in Del Rio’s league.
