This segment of Chair Shot Reality is talking Hall of Fame and legends at WrestleMania 32. Here’s some highlights of the conversation:
Brian Gulish on Sting speech:
Ultimately, when you look at the Hall of Fame it was Sting’s night but then turned into Ric Flair’s night. He went on and on about Steamboat, Hayes and his four marriages. It was not about you Ric. That off my chest — Sting’s speech was perfect. The retirement at the end was perfect. You can tell he was hesitant, he still wants to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Yes Sting, there are many people who thank you. It was a really good genuine speech. Wasn’t over the top. It was him no face paint, or glasses, just Steve Borden.
Justin LaBar on legends at WrestleMania:
I’m split. I thought Austin, Michaels and Foley was fantastic. So fun being there live. Hearing that glass break on the big stage will never get old. In 20 years from now when they are rolling the highlights of the WrestleMania from the last half century, that clip of Austin and Xavier Woods will forever be shown. I liked it. The Rock and Cena thing…we all love The Rock, don’t want to hate on him. I’m already looking at my match, then he comes out and I thought he had the Chyna gun she would come out with. He does this flame thrower thing. Then, The Wyatt’s which I don’t know, then Cena comes out which it seems his compromise with Vince was he could give the few big moves but couldn’t take any offense. I know they wanted him to come out and announce the attendance but there are four League of Nation members, why not have The Rock come out and be the fourth with Austin, Michaels and Foley.
