Kalisto Talks His Most Important Career Match, Who He Might Face at WrestleMania, Being Inspired By The Undertaker, More

WWE United States Champion Kalisto recently spoke with Planeta Wrestling, and you can check out the entire interview at this link. Thanks to WZ reader Jules Allen for sending in the following, translated highlights:

We will start talking about Wrestlemania, These days everybody is talking about you and your opponent for Wrestlemania. Ryback, Rusev, Alberto del Rio. Who do you think is going to be?

“I don’t care. I accept any challenge. Everybody wants to be United States Champion, but the mos important thing is to be ready physically and mentally. For example, I defeated Alberto del Rio because I’m smarter and faster than him. Everyone thinks that they can take away that title from me but I want to show the world that I’ll be champion at least for the rest of the year.”

Last week we knew that Undertaker will be a part of the roster for the next European tour and you will have the chance to travel with him. How is he as a person and his relation with the rest of the locker room?

“He is a legend. Master and gladiator. I have so much respect for him. He is the first wrestler I remember when I was a kid and he inspired me. It is going to be a dream come true and I will learn as much as possible from him. I respect him so much.”

What has been so far your most important match in WWE so far?

“A lot of them come into my mind, but I think one very special was the match against The New Day and The Usos when I could hit my Salina del Sol from the top of the ladder. I won the Slammy because of that and I’m very proud. But if I have to pick one, it would be against Alberto del Rio, when I won the US title for the first time.”
