Backstage Apollo Crews says a few months ago he had his shot at the NXT title. He didn’t come out on top but tonight he is going to prove that he deserves another shot at the belt.
William Regal announces that he has decided that there will be a rematch. Before he can finish his thought Baron Corbin burst into his office. Corbin says whatever happens there better be a rematch. Regal says one thing is sure, Corbin lost last week. Corbin says this is a joke and walks away. Regal tells us that the only fair way to determine who is the number one contender is to have Samoa Joe face Sami Zayn one-on-one.
Asuka vs Santana Garrett
Garrett immediately gets right in Asuka’s face. Garrett elbows Asuka in the face over and over again. Asuka laughs. Garrett hits the ropes, but as soon as she turns around Asuka hip attacks her. Asuka misses a head kick and Garrett rolls up Asuka for a two count. Garrett surprises Asuka with a side Russian leg sweep for a two count. Garrett hits the ropes and runs right into a flying cross arm breaker. Garrett rolls to her stomach, but Asuka transitions into the Asuka lock. Garrett has no choice but to tap out.
