Update on Shinsuke Nakamura’s NXT Status

According to PWInsider.com, Shinsuke Nakamura has finished up his NJPW commitments and will be reporting to the WWE Performance Center this week to begin his run in NXT. As noted, Nakamura will be making his NXT in-ring debut at Takeover Dallas.

Update on Reby Sky – Awesome Kong Incident and Sky’s Current TNA Contract Status

As we reported over the weekend, Awesome Kong was sent home from TNA’s current UK tour after a backstage altercation with Matt Hardy’s wife, Reby Sky. While several versions of exactly what happened between Sky and Kong have been floating around, PWInsider.com has confirmed Kong did in fact get physical with Sky, which is what ultimately lead to Kong being sent home from the tour. Sources noted to PWInsider that wrestlers could see visible marks on Sky’s throat and back of the neck from Kong’s assault.

As noted, TNA Executive John Gaburick issued the following statement in response to the incident:

Prior to the Impact Wrestling TV taping at the Manchester Arena, Kia Stevens was involved in an incident involving Rebecca Hardy. Subsequently, Kia was removed from the tour and returned to the United States. The matter is being reviewed to determine if any additional disciplinary action will be taken.

In related news, Reby Sky has officially signed a contract with TNA and is expected to be a regular on TNA TV going forward.
