ESPN’s WWE Off The Top Rope Recap: Dean Ambrose Talks The Shield, NFL Pride, Comparisons To WWE Hall of Famers (Video)

dean-ambroseWWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose was tonight’s WWE Off The Top Rope guest tonight, and Coach asks if he is concerned about putting himself in harm’s way.

Ambrose says he feels great and is living the dream, so he’s holding up great and asks Coach if he still looks good. Coach says Ambrose has been compared to a lot of great former champions like Steve Austin and Roddy Piper, but Ambrose says what you see is what you get. He says he deals with everything each day, and he’s ready for anything, so maybe he’s unpredictable like those other people.

Coach brings up Ambrose’s rise with The Shield, and Ambrose says he can’t ask for a better start than what he got. Ambrose says himself, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have all proven themselves as being workhorses, but he is glad he can break out on his own instead of being ‘the goon’ doing all the dirty work.

They start talking about sports alliances and Ambrose says he’s a Bengals guy all the way, then Coach wishes him luck defending his title on this week’s USA debut of Smackdown.
