Ring of Honor Stars Win Gold at Wrestle Kingdom 10, Update on the Ring of Honor Heavyweight Title and ROH’s Future w/NJPW

As seen at Wrestle Kingdom 10 last night at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, several Ring of Honor stars won New Japan Pro Wrestling gold.

The Briscoes won their first NEVER Openweight 6 man tag team Championships along with Toru Yano when they defeated The Bullet Club.

Bullet Club members The Young Bucks won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles when they defeated reDRagon and involvement from Matt Sydal and Ricochet and RPG Vice.

Finally, Jay Lethal retained the ROH World Heavyweight Title when he defeated Michael Elgin, and while there has been no confirmation that the booking of the match had anything to do with Elgin’s current ROH status, it should be noted that he has been working for ROH as of late without a contract.

ROH and New Japan will next be collaborating on ROH’s 14th anniversary PPV, with NJPW talents scheduled to appear at that show and the subsequent TV tapings. It’s also very likely ROH talents who won NJPW gold last night will be defending those titles at future ROH events.
