According to PWInsider.com, TNA President Dixie Carter and POP TV President Brad Schwartz confirmed TNA’s new TV deal with POP is a multi-year deal.
TNA will be looking to tape more episodes of Impact Wrestling in 2016 as well as resume touring. The decision to bring Impact to Tuesday nights is because both TNA and POP felt that was a better night to air the show.
Dixie Carter emailed the TNA staff following the announcement to inform them of the new TV deal, but as noted TNA employees were kept in the dark about the deal prior to the announcement likely to prevent internet leaks.
The first episode of Impact Wrestling on POP TV will air on January 5th, and will be a live broadcast.
