WWE Exec Talks Why WWE Will Be Touring India

dean ambroseWWE International President Gerrit Meier recently spoke with Sportskeeda, and had the following to say about why WWE will be touring India January:

“I think the interest was always there. I think it was all about making it happen through the partnerships here, as well as finding the right venues and setting up to go the distance.

“So, it’s a large scale event; when we come, there are a lot of talented superstars and divas to actually pull it off and gives the fans the kind of show that they expect – which requires a lot of planning. So we’re excited that this is happening.”

Average September Impact Wrestling Viewership

According to The Wrestling Observer, TNA Impact Wrestling on Destination America averaged 299,000 viewers for the 9pm EST airing and 87,000 for the midnight replay in the month of September.

Comparing the numbers by single episode vs. single episode, the September figure is down 72% from the 1.06 million viewers that the show averaged in September 2014 when TNA was airing on SpikeTV. Combining both the original airing and the replay of the show, viewership is down 64% compared to September of last year.
