Hulk Hogan Comments On Whether Cena Should Turn Heel & Talks His Own Heel Turn, ROH Executive Leaving Company

Hogan Comments On Heel Turn

hulk hoganRecently Hulk Hogan was interviewed by Radio Yorkshire to promote his one man show appearance at the Sheffield Arena. During the interview he was asked about whether he knew about his heel turn at Bash at the Beach 1996. Below is his response:

Well, I was thinking I knew I was going to piss everybody off. I knew it. I didn’t know if it was going to work as good as it did. I knew I was going to get heat for flipping everybody off, but when the crowd started throwing stuff into the ring, when Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and I were standing there with Mean Gene. When they started throwing bottles and paper and everything into the ring, I knew it worked then.

On whether John Cena should be receptive to turning heel in the WWE:

Yeah, I mean, God, I hate to keep saying it, “Never say never.” With Vince McMahon’s machine and the WWE and the writers and John Cena’s talent. If he were to turn heel and WWE let him go, let John go and pull that edge out of John. Ooh boy, he’d be a good heel!

ROH Executive Leaving Company

The marketing manager for ring of honor, Matt Myers Jr., has given his notice to the company and will be finishing up this Friday. It’s being said that the company has had a hard time coming through on some big plans and that has led to some turnover.

Gary Juster, ROH’s Events Operator, and Office Manager Greg Gilliland will be taking over Myers work until a replacement can be found.
